VetDIYPrivacy Policy — VetDIY Waitlist
What we collect
When you join the VetDIY waitlist, we collect only what you choose to give us: your email address, and optionally your phone number, ZIP code, project details (homeowners), or business name, trade, website, and Facebook page (contractors). If a friend referred you, we record the referral connection. If you invite friends, we store the email addresses you enter solely to send them your invitation.
How we use it
- To hold your place on the waitlist and calculate your priority position.
- To email you about your signup: confirmation, position changes, and VetDIY's launch in your area.
- To send a one-time invitation to friends you explicitly invite, naming you as the inviter.
- To pre-fill your VetDIY profile when the app launches, so you start ready to go.
We do not sell your information, and we don't share it with third parties for their marketing. Emails are delivered through our email provider (Resend) and data is stored with our database provider (Supabase); both act only on our instructions.
Texting
If you provide a phone number, we store it but do not send SMS today. We will only ever text you if you've given SMS consent, and you can revoke it any time.
Unsubscribe & your choices
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link — one click and we stop emailing that address entirely. You can also reply to any of our emails and ask to be removed or to have your data deleted, and we'll do it.
Data retention & deletion
We keep waitlist data until VetDIY launches (when it becomes your account profile, if you choose) or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. To request deletion, email admin@vetsdiy.com.
